Kelly Canyon Ski Resort is located on the Targhee National Forest. The Resort was established in 1957. It features the only night skiing in the area. Ski school packages are offered, and family groups are welcomed. A new 600 foot tubing park offers even more for families and groups. Kelly Canyon boasts 4 lifts, 26 runs, and 740 skiable acres. The ski lodge also contains banquet rooms for parties and gatherings. Classes in skiing and snowboarding are offered.
Kelly Canyon offers great recreational activities for all ages with over 740 acres of skiable area and 26 ski trails. It offers an entire mountain of challenging trails, wide runs and accessible terrain. The longest run is 6,900 feet. Certified instructors are available to teach all ability levels in group or private lessons. Snowboard and skiing classes are also offered during the Christmas holidays and weekends in January. A new 600 foot tubing park is also available for families and groups. Kelly Canyon offers alpine and night skiing with major runs lit six nights a week. They have 1 rope tow and 4 double chair lifts. Their uphill lift capacity is 2,100 per hour. The top elevation is 6,600 feet and base elevation 5,600 feet making a vertical drop of 1,000 feet of exciting skiing. Ski trails are rated "Easiest," "More Difficult," and "Most Difficult," so there is something for everyone. The annual snowfall is 100 inches. Services include a rental shop, cafeteria, banquet and private rooms. Buses are provided Saturdays and holidays from area communities. It is easily accessible from Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Rigby and other outlying areas.

The Kelly Canyon Nordic Area (KCNA) is located on 6 square miles of the Targhee National Forest in the Big Hole Mountains adjacent to the Kelly Canyon Ski Resort. This heavily wooded area has been set aside for non-motorized winter recreation. The snow quality is generally high, and the terrain varies from steep gradients to gently rolling, with many spectacular vistas to add to your enjoyment. Moose and other wildlife are frequently seen on the trails.
The area includes 24 miles of cross-country ski trails, about 5 miles of snowshoe trails and a variety of back country skiing experiences including a parked, north-facing powder ski slope where you can sample back-country skiing with minimum effort. a pleasant warming hut can be found at the base of the maintained back country ski slope for day and overnight use, while a second warming hut is located at Morgan Summit.
