The City of Rocks is one of Idaho's beautiful National Reserves. As one of the pioneer landmarks along the California Trail, the City of Rocks makes for a great stop to view wildlife and enjoy the unique granite rock formations with spires up to 600 feet high. The City of Rocks does allow camping and is favored among rock climbers and hikers. For camping reservations call (208) 824-5519. The rock climbing ranges from least difficult at 5.0 to more difficult at 5.10 climbs. With this variety of climbs, City of Rocks is not limited to serious rock climbers.
