Demarle at Home

Jodie, what’s a Silpat? The window sticker on the back of our gray minivan reads, “GOT SILPAT?”
I gave my response to that question last week to three ladies in a
white SUV, “It’s a non-stick cookie sheet liner; a new kind of flexible
bake ware!” Just the week before, a man in a Pocatello
parking lot asked too. Maybe you’ve seen our van driving around
Rexburg and have asked yourself the same question … What is a Silpat? Engineered and made in France,
Silpat cookie sheet liners are made of food-grade silicon and woven
glass. Silicon does not allow foods to stick, but is an insulator.
The patented glass foundation is needed to conduct heat. No need to
add extra fat or oils as the materials work together to crystallize
sugars found in all foods. This seals in moisture and creates
beautiful foods that are healthier for the body, pleasing to the eye
and of course, taste great. What attracted me to Demarle at Home in 2006, was working around my family activities. Making meals for our family has never been easier or looked so beautiful. We now have sunflower shaped lasagna. And our kids actually request roasted veggies. Doing the dishes with non stick bake ware is also easy because all foods just pop out of the molds, leaving them nearly clean. My husband Blake and I have three children. Our two daughters, a senior and freshman in the Madison School district, have become confident cooks and recently helped me teach a fondant cake decorating class. Our son in Paraguay
has even used Demarle products to make a wedding cake. We are not
professional cooks by any means, but we have professional tools in our
kitchen. A
Family and Consumer Science teacher in Bancroft asked me a lot of
questions about how and why these products work. So, I researched the answers. Since then, I’ve enjoyed educating FCS teachers and students in Bancroft, Malad, Pocatello, and most recently, in Sugar Salem with local resident Cathy Nelson. It’s been really fulfilling to be involved with these incredible teachers and students. This education helps my family and others gather around the table for healthier meals and conversations. We love sitting down together to break bread and talk. Demarle at Home promotes using local fresh ingredients, and is a great way to support our new local farmers market in Rexburg. The "Art of Good Living" is our motto. Our family relocated to this area in June of 2009. My first formal introductions of my Demarle at Home business in Rexburg were in late 2009 at the Chamber’s first Business Expo and the South Eastern Idaho Bridal Fair. February 23, 2010 I had my first ribbon cutting and fundraiser for the Tabernacle windows. Join Me!! Host a home party or grow a business of your own and then your table will also be crowned with the fruits of the harvest! Fully enjoy eating your veggies because you HAVE SILPAT!!
