Kiersten Olsen, a Rexburg native & recent graduate of Madison High School, has been drawing for most of her life, but didn’t start creating photorealistic portraits until she was 15.  The 18-year-old has been awarded many high honors in art contests around the state, including the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary Young American Patriotic Art Contest, Rexburg Civic Club Art & Poetry Contest, and the Eastern Idaho State Fair, to name a few.  Kiersten’s talent has been commissioned on several occasions, her most well-known being the poster artwork for the 2011 Idaho International Dance & Music Festival.   She will be attending BYU-Idaho in September of this year, where she plans to earn degrees in art and business management.  You can view Olsen’s complete portfolio of artwork at kierstenolsen.deviantart.com or contact her at art.of.kiersten.olsen@gmail.com.
