· September Event –
Rexburg Unplugged – A welcome to the BYU-Idaho students on behalf of the
business community was held at Hemming Village and was a remarkable
success. Thousands of students along
with community members enjoyed a Battle of the Bands sponsored by Chesbro Music
along with over 50 individual vendors.
· October Event –
Rexburg Business Expo – 2011 – This event held at Madison Jr. High School
presented a day filled with good information, workshops, guest speakers, vendor
booths and much needed networking
· Brought to you by the
Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by many of our local merchants and
businesses.
· October Event –
Welcome Home Our Heroes Parade – An outpouring of gratitude to our service men
and women for their time spent in Iraq this last year. A parade from Porter Park to Smith Park with
an ice cream social in Smith Park with time to spend thanking them for their
service to their country. A list of
special contributions, donations, and thanks from local businesses was
presented to each serviceman.

11/11/11 – Please join us for a tribute to our veterans.

Park Veterans Memorial – 12 noon for a fantastic one hour presentation
· November Event –
Christmas in the Night Time Sky – Please help us kick-off the Christmas season
in Rexburg with this heartwarming celebration.
This is an opportunity for everyone to give back to their community in
one way or another. Entry to the event
is an unwrapped toy or monetary donation at the door. All proceeds will go to Shop with a Cop. A chili dinner will be hosted for all in
attendance sponsored by ServPro of Rexburg and Rigby. Santa will be there; a coloring contest
prizes will be awarded; a Christmas Carol singing contest; hot cocoa and
cookies sponsored by Upper Valley Industries; wagon rides; fireworks, and you
can take a box of a full Christmas dinner to a deserving family. Anyone can make donations of $50 to the
chamber for purchase of 150 boxes to be distributed throughout the
community. You are welcome to turn in names
to the chamber of deserving families.
